5 Hour Course
Before a driver can schedule a road test, they must complete the 5 Hour Pre-Licensing Course. This course will help new drivers to learn basic rules of the road and teach them how to handle different driving situations. By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Understand basic traffic rules and their reasons
- Know how to handle various situations on the road
- Understand how different factors affect their driving
- Understand the effects of alcohol and other drugs on driving ability
*As of January 1, 2024 the Hour Pre-licensing course will be $50*
The cost for the 5 Hour Pre-Licensing Course is $50
Dates for Five Hour Course are every Monday and Wednesday starting at 5PM.
Registration is in person with your photo permit
*** THE GOVERNOR HAS ANNOUNCED THAT WE ARE ABLE TO OFFER THE 5 HOUR
COURSE VIA ZOOM. YOU MUST REGISTER AND PAY AT DECAT (bring your photo permit).
YOU MUST HAVE A PHONE/TABLET OR COMPUTER TO COMPLETE THE CLASS.
ONCE COMPLETED YOUR CERTIFICATE WILL BE READY FOR PICK UP AT THE OFFICE.
CLASSES WILL BE GIVEN WEEKLY.
